Week 1....Brutality

I lay here staring up into the sky

Thinking of what has become of me

I’m laying here just waiting to die

I am just as ready as I can be

You told me you loved me

You said you really cared

But you delivered blow after blow

Until I felt weak and scared

You shattered my world beyond belief

So now here I lay dying

You have hurt me one last time

For me there will be no more crying

Death for me is a sweet relief

Creative Writing!

So I have completed AA100 The Arts Past and Present at The Open University and now it is time to venture onto another course! I have chosen Creative Writing and I am really looking forward to it. I think this is one I am going to enjoy as I have always wanted to write. I have set up a group on facebook and it is really active now which I am really pleased about!! They have come up with a fab idea of doing a weekly writing challenge to get the creative writing juices flowing. This week the challenge is to write a poem of 40 lines or less on the theme of brutality. I have never written a poem before, nor do I understand poetry yet......but hey may aswell give it a bash!!.......poem to follow.....
